There is another dynamic within a Global Guild’s strategy of Accelerating Responsiveness that not only strengthens Progressive Refinement but also creates the foundation for a Viral Spread of that strategy. From the start, a prototype Global Guild must employ increasingly-sophisticated IT to support analysis of globally-defined threats. This in turn will allow greater synthesis of a progressively wide range of inputs, including ideas and feedback collected from the internet.
However, it also allows improved channeling of information in both directions, in and out of the Global Guild. In addition to highly-specific information exchange to member-organizations, some channels will be directly to governments and the public (such as via the open internet or other broadcast media such as the Press). Other channels will be more indirect (such as via chosen authority figures, relevant celebrities, appropriate journalists, leading politicians, members of civil bodies). But in all cases, the improving information exchange will be designed to create more and better locally-customized responses to growing threats of backlashes.
For its own long-term preservation, any major corporation needs to minimize threats of backlashes by stimulating exactly this proliferation of customized-but-aligned counter-measures around the world. Moreover, if it had to attempt it alone, a top multinational would still have to realign its activities in much the same ways as a rival corporation would be attempting in parallel. Under those circumstances, to maintain too much separation does not make a lot of sense.
